The Sales Manager is responsible for Sales of Teledyne Marine products with focus to the Teledyne Imaging products in the defined area both directly and through distributors, with specifical responsibility to support the Business Development to defined customers and identified markets for Imaging & Instruments verticals.
Experience with hydrographic and dredging market is a prerequisite.
  1. Responsibility for meeting sales booking and revenues targets
  2. Actively manage the channels to ensure they are fully engaged, optimised and driven to succeed.
  3. Participate in developing and implementing regional sale strategy including plans and programs to maximize market penetration of Teledyne Marine Acoustic products in his portfolio including new market entry both direct and through channel partners
  4. Arrange and hold technical seminars, product presentations and customer demonstrations both direct and through channel partners
  5. Responsible for ensuring that the pricing and discount policy is adhered to and main-tained within the authorized limits
  6. Be responsible for discovering Teledyne Marine non-standard sales opportunities and participate in the selling process in collaboration with product management
  7. Prepare and issue quotations to clients and agents and keep track of them in Sales Force
  8. Remain informed of competitor status, products, advantages and weaknesses and report that back to the business manager
  9. Remain informed of market conditions and trends through regular customer visits  and/ or contact 
  10. Understand fully the benefits and functionality of each Teledyne Marine product in his portfolio offered
  11. Provide accurate booking forecasts and keep up-to-date customer and pipeline records
Business School degree or a similar background
Additional “diploma” – English language if not first language
Relevant background/education in an international trading/maritime company would be advantageous
Experience in Hydrographic and or Dredge market would be an advantage
An experienced sales person able to converse at all levels
Fluent in English, written as well as verbally
Second relevant language where applicable
Excellent communication ability with all nationalities, written as well as verbally
Ability to have or attain good comprehension of technical/maritime issues
Providing quotations to Agents/Reps within pricing authority
Providing quotations to customers within pricing authority
Perform demo’s and workshops
Recommend termination and hiring of Agents/Reps within the region based on defined performance criteria
Booking Target
Revenue Target
Quarterly reports on Agents / Reps
Ability to provide timely and accurate booking prognosis
Ability to provide qualitative feedback on market conditions and trends, new customer applications and product ideas
Ability to report competitive activity
